Offsite Solutions combine innovative design with engineering knowledge and manufacturing expertise to deliver a solution that exceeds the demanding standards of today’s construction industry. Prefabricated bathroom pods allow for faster construction programmes and significantly reduced requirements for skilled labour on-site providing valuable time and cost efficiencies over traditional construction methods.
Not only do we have proven experience and knowledge at our disposal, we also have the capability to manufacture bespoke pods to solve a wide range of specific healthcare requirements including: hygienic wash down walls, anti-ligature fittings and anti-scald accessories. Our engineers have developed a specification to meet the durability requirements of a frequent use wet room whilst providing a comfortable, ergonomic and familiar environment for patients.
Offsite Solutions have combined industry leading expertise with materials developed in the aerospace, marine and rail sectors to produce a composite wall structure which is fire retardant to achieve HTM guidelines and Building Regulations, has proven impact resistance, is waterproof and includes solid-core technology that allows screw fixings on any vertical surface. In addition every pod floor is fully bunded and waterproof.
Completed pods are made secure and transported to site on specialist vehicles. The relative light-weight nature of the finished product means that it is both easy to transport from our facility and simple to unload. Pods are craned into position using a custom built, certified, lifting frame supplied by Offsite Solutions. When required we can provide specialist support crews to handle pods into position and plumbing and electrical termination points are located to ensure precise on-site connection. We aim to simplify the entire process by providing a superior engineered solution from a quality controlled source in conjunction with excellent customer service.
Pod Composition
The interior is moulded in high-quality fire-retardant polyester resin, with UV stabilised pre-pigmented gel coat, giving a robust easy maintenance surface. The pod exterior is fitted with horizontal composite battens and adjustable steel rails to facilitate dry lining fixing.
Dimensions
There are a variety of existing footprints in our design library or bespoke designs can be developed to meet individual requirements. Pod units can be configured as bathrooms, en-suite shower rooms or WC's.
Colours and Finishes
The pod interior can be customised to suit individual requirements. Available in any colour listed in the BS4800 or RAL colour range charts. Finishes include: gloss, matt, textured and tile-effect. Integral moulded shelves, ledges & recesses can be included in the pod walls to assist infection control.
Floor
Steel reinforced fully bunded waterproof floor with pitched shower stall forming an integrated part of the pod. The main activity area can be fitted with a heavy duty recessed vinyl mat or have an integral moulded anti-slip finish.
Typical Fittings
Back to wall or wall mounted pan, concealed cistern with pneumatic valves, recessed thermostatic shower valves, anti-ligature fixed shower heads or hand held flexi-hose shower heads, anti ligature or wave on wave off taps, pull down shower seats, safety glass or acrylic recessed mirrors, shaving sockets, soap dishes and towel dispensers where appropriate, secure ceiling bulkhead lamps (LUX to suit specification), colour diverse grab handles. Under sink access to either wall mounted or moulded inset basin, access hatches to SVP and thermostatic valves.
